I teach co-taught 7th/8th grade Writing on Team Acceptance. I am also one of the Special Education case managers for 8th graders. This is my 12th year at Guthrie Public Schools. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and a minor in Spanish.  I earned a Master's of Special Education with a Post Secondary Education and Employment Transition Specialist certification from the University of Oklahoma.

I am a mother of five children. Two of my children are Guthrie High School graduates while my other three attend Guthrie Schools. I love the Guthrie community and love our schools.

My passion is language arts and helping students interact with words.  I enjoy working with struggling students and watching their growth in understanding of subject matter.
