Car Rider Information
FOGARTY ELEMENTARY
STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP
For the safety of all students and staff, PLEASE follow our drop off and pick up procedures. Failure to follow these procedures puts our students in danger because we do not have staff on duty to monitor students outside of the following areas during drop off and pick up times.
Drop Off
Student drop-off is located on Jefferson Street. Traffic flows west on this street from 7:30 a.m. and 8:05 a.m. Students are let out along the yellow curb and should enter the building by using the south entry. Please follow our procedure signs that are posted in the drop off and pick up areas. After 8:05 a.m., students should be dropped off at the front door and should be accompanied or monitored by the parent until the child is safely inside the building. DO NOT drop off students by playground or south door after 8;05 a.m. DO NOT drop students on the north side of the building at any time. This is a bus drop zone only.
AFTERNOON DISMISSAL
STUDENTS ARE DISMISSED IN ONE OF 3 WAYS
- BUS RIDERS - STUDENTS RIDING HOME ON A BUS
- CAR RIDERS - STUDENTS PICKED UP BY GUARDIANS IN A VEHICLE
- WALKERS - STUDENTS WALKING OR RIDING A BICYCLE HOME
Teachers will begin loading cars at 3:10 p.m. ALL students must be pick up no later than 3:30 p.m. If you cannot pick your child up by 3:30 please make alternative arrangements. Teachers and staff contract day ends at 3:30 p.m.
Walkers will be dismissed to a teacher on duty and that teacher will walk the students through the crosswalk to the southeast corner of Jefferson and Wentz. Students will be released to begin their walk home from this location.
