Health Information

Student health and safety are top concerns at Guthrie Public Schools. For your convenience, we have provided forms and links that will provide answers to many of your questions.

Health Plans: If your student has asthma, seizures, an Epi-Pen for an allergy, Type 1 Diabetes, or any other health condition that needs special care at school, please contact the District Nurse at (405)282-8900. If a student has an emergency medication of any kind, a health plan is required.

Please alert your child’s school office to any changes in your contact information that occur during the school year. Keeping up-to-date information will help us to better serve you and your child.

In case of Accident/Injury/Illness:

Each school has basic first aid supplies. Cuts and scrapes will be cleaned with soap/water. You will be notified if your child becomes ill and needs to go home.

If An Emergency Occurs:

It is necessary to inform your school’s office of phone numbers where parents can be reached if an emergency arises.

We also request names/phone numbers of 2 reliable friends/relatives who could assume temporary care of your child if an illness or an accident should occur and you cannot be reached.

If a parent/guardian or emergency contact person cannot be reached or is unavailable to pick up a student that needs medical attention, EMS may be called. Any expenses accrued will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
